Footprint Introduction

Description:

For this project, the main objective was to use our footprint to show a little bit about our lives. Using a minimum of three different mediums, I chose symbols that represented things about me. The piece of paper with writing was meant to represent my love for reading. I also included a picture of the ocean as that is one of my favorite places that I have ever visited. I added a bedazzled skyline of New York City and the Washington Monument to show my love for travel, and the theatre faces are meant to represent my love of musical theatre. Finally, I included ND to represent being from North Dakota, and pickles because they are my favorite food. This project was a very fun and interesting way to get to know each other in class!

Extension Activity:

For an extension activity, students can write a short paragraph that describes each element that they chose to include on their footprint. This way they can practice using symbolism to represent things.
